A&W Free Root Beer Float Day is Aug. 6
A&W is celebrating National Root Beer Float Day on Tuesday, August 6.
This year, the chain is extending the celebration from July 6 - August 6 to keep the party going even longer.
On National Root Beer Float Day, simply show off your "Float Flex" by striking your best physique-flaunting pose. You can even enter the Float Flex Contest on Instagram for a chance to win some cool prizes.
A&W is the oldest franchised restaurant chain in America. It was founded in 1919 in Lodi, California. The first A&W Root Beer stand was opened in Saskatchewan, Canada in 1956.
Today, there are over 500 A&W locations in the United States and Canada. The chain is known for its root beer floats, burgers, and other classic American food.
